Owen chose the more editorial look for his senior portraits and Prescott Park for the location. He brought his family and new puppy for the shoot! I know…dogs are not allowed here but this one was so small and cute it didn’t really count! As you can see in the last image I think GiGi had something to say about not having the whole shoot to herself! I love that Owen shared his time with his family and they were able to celebrate this time in his life together in portraits.

Alana reminded me during her session that I had said the same thing to her when she was about nine during her families christmas portraits. I had complimented her on her classicly beautiful non smiling face. I guess it stood out to her at that age and I stand by it as true today! Regardless I think it works with her portrait for senior year as well as to celebrate her determination in swim. She chose to include her passion for swim team in her session so we added it onto the end, considering we would be adding a spay bottle for effect as well! It was FUN photographing you again Alana!

Michael a reluctant subject in the beginning, turned his shoot into something that looks like a catalog. Mom made the appointment knowing how important it was to her and would be to him, to have powerful portraits of this time in his life. Nearing the end of the session his true look came through. I thought and told him he belonged on the cover of Urban Outfiters Magazine. Come to find out through other customers and friends of his that he is an amazing guitarist and THAT explained the look I was able to get in the end. Thank you for letting me take your portrait Michael!!

Taylor is at home by the sea…in the sea and learning about everything living in the sea! Marine studies are her passion and so the Seacoast Science Center was the obvious choice for her High School Senior session. Taylor was very involved with her session, also loving photography, so she went ahead days earlier to scout for the perfect spot. She did an amazing job finding places I didn’t know about and they were perfect! As the sun set the color of the ocean just became this truly beautiful blue and matched her favorite shirt perfectly! Having a son passionate about the ocean made this shoot special to me as I imagined him becoming this age and looking forward to college within a similar subject that she is!

Second time is a charm! I was honored to photograph Makayla when she was twelve for her acting head shots (which she playfully posted as her senior photos the other day;)) and AGAIN now for her senior year of high school! Its amazing the difference just a few years makes! I hope you keep your passion alive for the arts if it continues to call you! It was awesome to be part of your process! With Gratitude
