Second time is a charm! I was honored to photograph Makayla when she was twelve for her acting head shots (which she playfully posted as her senior photos the other day;)) and AGAIN now for her senior year of high school! Its amazing the difference just a few years makes! I hope you keep your passion alive for the arts if it continues to call you! It was awesome to be part of your process! With Gratitude

Emily, having landed on singing as her passion and talent thought a downtown Portsmouth shoot would suit her. We set out to create some needed year book photos for St. Thomas and some “album” style portraits for herself. I personally love the album style laid back but intense eye photos, so this was a perfect and perfectly fun session! I can’t wait to see the pages of the magazine we created for her family to keep this memory alive! I love that her mom and little sister came along on the shoot, its a milestone to be celebrated! Good luck on your personal creative journey Emily!

Morgan, a High School Senior this year, a dancer and beauty inside and out. I loved that when I moved…okay picked, the plants that were in the way of my image, and her face, she gave a little “oh no”. It was quite but I felt her compassion for the living thing I was moving for myself. I said wow you are so compassionate and she told me her whole family was. She and her mother even brought me cucumbers from their garden! The dance portraits from this shoot made me smile, they just look like freedom.

Winter Island in Salem Massachusetts was a spot Sophia went for theater camp as a child. They have since closed down the camp much to her dismay. The spot also held sentimental value as she also was taken as a child to play and relax with family. Her mom asked if we could do the session there for that very reason and of course wanting to add as much legacy to each portrait session, I said of course! Sophia is not only a natural at ballet but is in love with acting. These images served as Senior Portraits as well as what she chose from for her acting head shot. We had a fun ADDED laugh when my reflector went flying into the ocean off the dock as we did the ballet portraits and I had to jump in up to my waist to get it…finishing the session completely drenched. The show must go on!! 🙂

Emiley opted for two locations that were different in look but very close in proximity. New Castle Commons and Fort Stark in New Castle.

sunshinewhitephotography_0594.jpgpintopinterestShe included a ring that was her mothers ring, her Senior year of High School, within the shoot. I thought what a wonderful way to incorporate legacy and heritage within a Senior session. 🙂
