A wedding at Curtis Farm was the perfect place for Country French with a Bohemian twist that Val and Greg created. With a family in full swing including their dog Spot, Val and Greg planned this beautiful wedding in three months! La Flora Couture is Valerie’s Floral Event Business and she proved her ability with her own dream wedding! Decisiveness and a amazing eye for detail and DIY galore perfected this day. When I say details I mean NOTHING was left out! Even the hanger for her dress was the rose gold that dabbled throughout the reception table peices. I could not include all the images of all the details she created for this wedding within this post, their were just to many!

So much appreciation for being able to photograph this incredible day.

While waiting for his bride, Greg and his Groomsmen fooled around showing the Super Hero’s they are in their off time or by the darkness of night.

Greg and Valerie chose to see each other for the first time the moment she walked down the isle. Greg had a great reaction waiting for his bride….he clearly thought it was worth the wait!

After the ceremony in the field with the mountains in the background, guests congregated under the tent for a French Style Buffett of treats and some shade from the full warm sun of the day.

We walked around the Farm creating beautiful images of the wedding party, family and just the two of them. I almost forgot I was at a wedding and thought I was photographing a mock session with MODELS! Really you guys are gorgeous!

Beautiful yet chilly day the other day during Sydney’s session at New Castle Commons. Lucky for her she had a long sleeve dress that looked amazing in that setting. Sydney’s mom was there helping with wardrobe and jumped in for a few mother daughter images for the wall. Everything went smoothly even with the volley ball players walking by and through some shots!

Can’t wait for you guys to come in and see the rest of these!

We set off in the rain in hopes to find the sun. For Jennifer and Amy’s engagement session the clouds had just broken and left behind deep puddles and wet sand, but the lighting was beautiful!

The Fish Houses in North Hampton were special to them because Amy had her children photographed there years ago when they were little. It seemed perfect to start a new chapter with images from the same location, not to mention what a great background!

The fun ensued…come on Jennifer, getting splashed in the ocean is a great idea! 🙂 You guys are so fun and troopers for ignoring the weather with me on our adventure engagement session. Thank you for sticking it out and finding fun in the looming clouds above.

I have become more and more true to the style I love as time goes on. I am so happy to say that even though its trickier with all the rain we have had here in New England, I have been able to do my head shot sessions outside in natural light with a natural background, the way I prefer them to be. There is definitely a place for flash but when at ALL possible I am a natural light photographer. Light is a tool. As with any artist we use our tools differently and one way isn’t better than another and how wonderful we DO have different ways of using those tools! The more I recognize and own what I truly love about what I do the more freedom within that area I afford myself. Trying to fit in others ideas of what is “good” is stifling and unproductive as a artist. Celebrate what you love and own it!

Katie-Lee and Matt chose the combination of urban and nature that was provided by the coast of downtown Portsmouth for their engagement session. We didn’t know however, it was a day of multiple events in that exact spot so it took us some time and a lot of laughs to parking in portsmouth! The weather was perfect and so were they. Matt and Katie-Lee met in High School at the age of fifteen and have been together in love since. Talk about high school sweethearts! The wedding will be at Alpine Grove in October and I am so looking forward to working with these amazing people again! Enjoy the summer together and I will see you guys in the fall!

With Gratitude
